“Decarbonization of our economy is both the generational challenge and priority of our times. As Canada’s leading producer of critical minerals, Teck is proud to be working with New Economy Canada on strengthening the conversation between companies and organizations with Federal officials on enabling the policies needed for Canada to achieve a net-zero future.”

Jeff Hanman
Senior VP, Sustainability & External Affairs, Teck Resources

“The science is clear: we need to accelerate Canada’s transition to a net-zero economy capable of adapting to climate change. New Economy Canada is fostering a vital collaboration linking businesses, Indigenous leaders, think tanks, and experts to work on solutions and contribute to policymaking that provides clear signals. This will position Canada for success. These efforts are critical for attracting investment to support Canadian competitiveness.”

Roger Beauchemin
President and CEO, Addenda Capital

“The clean energy transition presents an opportunity to put Canadian companies at the forefront of this revolution, and pave the way for Canada to take a leading role in the world’s zero-emissions future. New Economy Canada will aggregate a stronger voice for Canadian clean tech companies like Loop Energy to forge a strong collaboration with our government, increase our competitiveness in this economic opportunity, and position companies like Loop Energy for success on a global stage.”

Ben Nyland
President and CEO, Loop Energy

“CarbiCrete is fully committed to making concrete a climate solution, but decarbonizing Canada’s economy will require a host of complementary solutions. We look forward to working across sectors through New Economy Canada with the innovative companies that will shape a cleaner future for our country.”

Chris Stern
CEO, CarbiCreteent and CEO, Loop Energy

“Canadian Colleges for a Resilient Recovery (C2R2) is positioned to quickly develop thousands of training and applied research opportunities to help Canadians access new careers, support the transition to a low-carbon economy, and foster inclusion, diversity and equity. We are excited to work with New Economy Canada as it assembles a powerful alliance of national leaders committed to providing the critical elements for true success as we plan for the future.”

Ron J. McKerlie
President & CEO, Mohawk College

“There have been some strong steps taken in Canada by Government and Industry to reduce emissions and begin prioritizing carbon reduction. Our attention needs to be focused on our combined efforts to achieve net-zero, and this cannot happen alone. Collaboration across sectors and industries will be key to removing barriers we often allow to stall important innovations in our country. The Heat and Frost Insulators are pleased to be participating in New Economy Canada to help establish clear paths for companies, organizations and governments to achieve progress in tackling the larger issues that relatively untouched, such as addressing the retrofitting of our built environment in a comprehensive manner, not with superficial band-aids.”

Adam Melnick
Director of Canadian Affairs, International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators & Allied Workers

“A central pillar of a New Canadian economy – that embodies economic resilience, climate action and justice, and abundant GDP growth – is Indigenous inclusion. As the national platform for First Nations, Métis and Inuit clean energy leadership, Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) is enthusiastically 100% supportive of the New Economy Canada initiative.”

Chris Henderson
Founding Executive Director, Indigenous Clean Energy

“We know there is no one-size-fits-all solution to decarbonizing Canada’s economy, and we recognize how critical it is that we neither expect nor prescribe any two provinces to reach net-zero in the same way. GE Vernova is proud to be a New Economy Canada participant alongside other industry leaders and innovators, and we look forward to working together – taking a Team Canada approach – to set us up for success during this decade of action on climate change. Together, we have the energy to change the world.”

Heather Chalmers
President & CEO, GE Canada and President, Growth Markets, GE Vernova

“The need to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions as we move to a low carbon, net zero future is critical. Clean tech, including energy efficiency, is one of the most important tools in accelerating Canada’s efforts to do this. EfficiencyOne is proud to be working with New Economy Canada to demonstrate the strength of and advance Canada’s clean tech sector.”

Stephen MacDonald
President & CEO, EfficiencyOne
